I received my under graduate degree from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan in 1964 in Mechanical Engineering. My graduate degrees were obtained from Purdue University in 1966 and 1969 where I received my Ph.D., also in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in Heat Transfer. Upon graduation, I then started to work for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in Hampton, VA. I retired from NASA in 1995 after 26 years of service where I was actively involved in model development using a variety of programming languages -- Fortran, C, and IDL, which is an Interactive Data Language.
After retirement, I became interested in Web development efforts, particularly those that involved the Javascript language. I first became aware of overlib when it was at version 3.30 and started to make enhancements to the code that reflected what users were requesting for overlib. I was one of the developers invited by Erik Bosrup to help with the future direction of overlib and proposed the plugin feature that is now part of the code.
